The second part of our looking at pea harvesting focuses on the six wheel machines developed by FMC and then taken further by PMC. The programme traces the history of the FMC viner and shows how the modern machines had their origins in the trailed H2 of the mid-1970s.

 Self-propelled machines soon followed and in 1989 the FMC 979 appeared – with six wheel drive!
